Good Friday - National Moment of Prayer
My Saint My Hero Family,
Pope Francis has given us all the gift of a special plenary indulgence — this is the Gift of Reconciliation, Forgiveness, and Mercy. It is like a supercharged confession and we can do it right in our own home. This is one of those Secrets-of-the-Faith kind of moments, and I say, “Why not!” Why not experiment on FAITH? Take the LEAP of FAITH right now; you can only GAIN from it!
THIS IS HOW
To receive this special gift, you need to pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart on Good Friday, April 10, 2020. You must be truly sorry for your sins and desire to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, as soon as it is possible. Also, you need to join Pope Francis in his prayer intentions (just offer it up).
On Good Friday, on behalf of the bishops in the United States, I will pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for an end to the coronavirus pandemic. — Archbishop Gomez
THREE WAYS TO JOIN IN
- You can pray the Litany on your own.
- Join Archbishop Gomez in a national moment of prayer on USCCB's Facebook Live at 9am PST on Good Friday.
- Join My Saint My Hero on Instagram Live at Noon PST on Good Friday.
We will pray together for healing for the whole world and a cure, halt, and immunization for COVID-19.
LET’S DO THIS!
