Day 22 - 40 Day Prayer Pledge
Posted on March 18 2020
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.Psalm 1:1-3
“Blessed” is the Bible’s word for “truly, lastingly happy.” This is what God wants for his people. His commandments (called his “law” in the Psalm) are the instructions he gives us to achieve that. How firmly do I believe that obeying God’s commandments will lead me to the happiness I desire? Read the passage again, slowly; picture the tree by the stream, growing and flourishing, strong and fruitful. That’s what God wants for your soul!
