Day 31 - 40 Day Prayer Pledge
Posted on March 27 2020
When Paul and Barnabas had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. Acts 14:21-22
We all need encouragement from other Christians in order to keep following Christ, because we all have to endure “many tribulations” on our pilgrimage through life. But we also need to learn how to encourage others - it’s one of the best ways to “love our neighbors as ourselves”. Where have you found encouragement in the past? Thank God for those sources of encouragement. Where do you go when you need encouragement? How can you better encourage those around you today? Reread the verses, slowly; maybe even out loud: consider how the Church started so small, and has grown so much over 2000 years.

A Prayer for Guidance
Father, let the light of your truth
Guide us to your Kingdom
Through a world filled with lights contrary to your own.
Christian is the name of the gospel we glory in.
May your love make us what you have called us to be.
We asked this through Christ our Lord.
