Day 32 - 40 Day Prayer Pledge
Posted on March 28 2020
So, my dear brothers and sisters, keep firm and immovable, always abounding in energy for the Lord’s work, being sure that in the Lord none of your labors is wasted. Corinthians 15:58
Sometimes we can feel like our efforts to bring Christ to others and make the world a better place aren’t really achieving anything. But that can never be true, as long as we are united to Christ Himself, through prayer and the sacraments. We are like farmers planting seeds. We may not see the harvest until we enter heaven, but God will not allow our “labors” to be “wasted”. What are your labors for Christ? How do you strive to build up his Kingdom in the world? What are the ways in which you strive to follow Christ’s example of loving others by giving your life for them? Reread the verses slowly; maybe even out loud: let confidence in God’s faithfulness fill your mind with light and your heart with peace.

A Prayer for Guidance
God our Father,
Open our eyes to see your hand at work
In the splendor of creation,
in the beauty of human life.
Touched by your hand our world is holy.
Help us to cherish the gifts that surround us,
To share your blessings with our brothers and sisters,
And to experience the joy of life in your presence.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
