Day 33 - 40 Day Prayer Pledge
Posted on March 29 2020
Brothers and sisters, we know that all things work together for good for those who love God who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
Many things happen in life that don’t seem to make sense, that cause trouble and pain. At those times, we need to exercise the virtue of hope. We need to trust that God can bring good even out of evil, and we need to keep obeying His will and following where He leads. God is all-wise, all loving, all-good, and all-powerful. In the end, He truly will work everything out of everything. How often do I exercise my supernatural hope in God? What things tend to darken the horizon of my hope? How can I use the hope God has given me to help someone else who may be in the midst of darkness? Reread the verse, slowly, maybe even out loud: exercise your faith in God’s goodness and power.

A Prayer of Hope in God
Father in heaven, author of all truth,
A people once in darkness has listened to your Word
and followed your Son as he rose from the tomb.
Hear the prayer of this newborn people
And strengthen your Church to answer your call.
May we rise and come forth into the life
of day to stand in your presence
Until eternity dawns. Amen.
