Day Ten - 40 Day Prayer Pledge
Posted on March 06 2020
Rest in God alone, my soul! He is the source of my hope. He alone is my rock, my safety, my stronghold, so that I stand unwavering. In God is my safety and my glory, the rock of my strength. In God is my refuge; trust in him, you people, at all times, pour out your hearts to him. God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:5-8
The Bible is a unique book. Although it was written over a period of more than a thousand years by many human authors, the Holy Spirit was the one behind it all. Read today’s passage again, with that in mind: it tells us what God wants to be for us. How much do I depend on God for my interior happiness and peace? How much do I depend on other people’s approval or my achievements? What can I do to make God into my “refuge” and my “stronghold” today?

A Prayer of Praise to God
Father, all-powerful and every-living God,
We do well always and everywhere to give you thanks.
All things are of Your making,
All times and seasons obey Your laws,
But You chose to create us in Your own image,
Setting us over the whole world in all its wonder.
You made us the stewards of creation,
To praise You day by day for the marvels of Your wisdom and power, Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We praise You, Lord,
With all the angels in their song of joy:
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest,
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
