We Are Family!!!
I have to share what happened to me one morning! IT IS HUGE—it is a miracle from heaven. It reminded me of the love of my family and the love of my 4 sisters. It’s the authentic, fearless, messy, be-who-we-are-called-to-be, I-love-you-anyway, I-support-you, and I-see-you kind of love!
I had a really rough day, and all my emotions were triggered. I felt betrayal, doubt, fear, and my spiritual power being given away. But then I stood up, stood strong in my position of love, and walked away for a pause.

“Preach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.” -St. Francis of Assisi
St. Francis saw the world for what it was and chose to be grounded in faith, being a beacon of light for God to pour His love into, and then St. Francis had the burning desire to share His love with the world. St. Francis is known as the patron saint of animals and of ecology. He called all creatures brothers and sisters, and he called the sun, “brother sun,” and the moon, “sister moon.” He understood the inner workings and incredible divine interconnection between all and saw the love of God as the thread that held us together in fine and divine balance...

“May I stay in constant presence and intimate union with Christ” -St.Teresa of Avila
Imagine that! Words like these draw me into the lives of the saints and ignite my heart to want to know more, learn and imitate their devotion, their practice and their meditations.
The saints lived ordinary lives like you and me but with the passion to live this life on earth in constant union with Christ. What does that mean? To me it means surrendering my will to God’s divine will, allowing my daily life to flow and activate all that I am for the Glory of God.

This Sunday we celebrate the Transfiguration: the moment when Christ transformed or “transfigured” from human form to dazzling white right before His disciples’ eyes! Behold a miracle… behold a transformation from what we know to that which is beyond physical perception! I never quite got this significance or maybe I just didn’t understand until now. The time is NOW to fully grasp the moment… for then, for now, for what is. I hope this (as summarized and quoted from the August Magnificat) helps you to open up the horizons of your heart, soul, body and mind. Please read and share with your friends! A rising tide elevates all… may we together elevate each other and rise!!!

This is where my annual retreat into family, love and quiet happens. There on that small island is where family matters most, conversations linger and a warm embrace is truly felt. It is a place where my feet feel steady and I’m not jumping from one activity to the next. Coffee is served in a beautiful china cup and one is meant to stay at the coffee bar and enjoy it among one another rather than speeding off to consume it in the car or at the desk… a change, a shift, a remembrance … June is my month of renewal!
