A gift for the mom who is sending her child off to college…

No one can tell a mother how to fulfill her vocation—only God can…because I believe He speaks to us through the vocation of our motherhood.

I am an alum mom at a high school my son attended in 2014-2018. The school continues to gather us as we share in the experience of sending our sons to an all-boys school. We come on campus to pray for the current staff, teachers, and students, all while continuing to pray for our own alum sons.

I shared at one of our gatherings how praying the rosary can be the greatest reflection of our own lives while contemplating Christ’s life. There is so much joy and sorrow in our vocation as mothers, and just like life’s seasons, we can relate them to the mysteries of the Rosary.

Instead of asking, " What season of life am I in right now? We can say, " What mystery of the Rosary am I in right now?”

If you are sending your child to college…you just might feel like you are carrying a heavy cross, as you feel like you are approaching a Sorrowful Mystery. Or perhaps you feel so much excited anticipation for your child…and maybe you are in a Joyful Mystery of life right now!

I believe God can speak to us through His mysteries—it is why I devote myself to praying the Rosary.

As mothers, we can relate to Mary. Praying the Rosary through her eyes allows me to create a mama-shift that is sometimes needed.

There is not a day that goes by that I am not without my daily reminder, a Blessing Bracelet, to help me stay on track with my love of Christ, my Marian devotion to the Rosary, and my reminder of my connection to my gift of motherhood.
