Pope Francis, In Between God's Love and Spirit

In 2015, My Saint My Hero was commissioned to design and provide the Official Pope Francis Medal for the World Meeting of Families.

The medal was created by Vatican artist Mariangela, who designed the medal with the image of Our Beloved, Pope Francis, waving and smiling.  It was then hand-cast in Italy. Once approved, Pope Francis honored our project with a blessing over each medal mold created. 

The moment I met Pope Francis,  I experienced the Holy Spirit in a whole new way. Seeing Pope Francis, I could feel the tangible presence of the Trinity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was “in between” us. I felt God’s love. The “in between” erupted with joy—it was the Holy Spirit connecting our hearts and our spirit in explosive love!

I watched in awe as Pope Francis approached the crowd. He stayed for hours, even well after Mass, to simply “just be” with the people. He had such love and humility as he remained for every person, ensuring they received a blessing while he waved and smiled.

I watched him approach people. He allowed people to feel comfortable expressing their love and reverence for the Papacy in the way they wanted. He met people where they were at.

If somebody wanted to kiss his ring... that was wonderful!

If somebody wanted to hug him...that was wonderful!

Right in front of me, a teenage boy received a fist bump from Pope Francis. At a glance, that may seem irreverent, but it was actually so beautiful; he met that teenage boy where he was, and that teenage boy was ignited with supernatural joy!

Pope Francis was a humanitarian. He loved people, and he loved our environment. I am honored to have met him. 

My Saint My Hero is honored to have created a medal for the Papacy. We are also honored to be re-launching the Pope Francis World Meeting of Families Official Medal for all of you! May we pray for Pope Francis. My hope is that he is dancing in heaven with Jesus! May we continue to love one another, care for the environment, and honor our Holy Father, Pope Francis.
