Thanksgiving Prayer for your Table

 Dear Heavenly Father,

Accept O Lord, our thanks and praise for all that You have done for us. 

We thank you for the splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of this world, and Your love.

We thank you for the blessing of family and friends, and for the loving care which surrounds us.

Lord, as we sit at this beautiful table with the ones You have placed in our life, we thank You.

Please bless our food and nourish our souls. Bless all of those that helped make our meal.

We ask you to bless those who may be hungry today or perhaps nowhere to go.

We pray they feel a spark of Your love just when they need it most.

We pray for all those that were unable to be here at our table today, and for the souls of the departed.

In the Most Holy name of Jesus we give thanks. Amen.

As I sit down to write this blog about Thanksgiving, I am immediately brought to the emotion of gratitude, grace, and transformation of love!

In life, There are moments when I am sometimes caught in anger, fear, and anxiety.

Yet, suddenly by the GRACE of God something in me shifts. I begin to feel grateful for someone or something in my life.

God’s grace washes over me and gratitude ignites me and my emotions begin to lift higher and higher. 

This is true grace… it is not because I mindfully shifted my emotions from dark to light...it is simply because I let go. I surrender, and it is then when God floods me with His grace. 

This Thanksgiving, may you find your deep connection of gratefulness. May you feel God’s love that inspires you to reach out to those you love, and to those you see in need. 

May God bless you this week by giving you a grateful heart and active hands.

May each of our wearable blessings serve to remind you: God has given YOU a mission to make the world a better place and you can fulfill that mission by using your hands to do good.
