The BEST Wedding Gift

The love and prayer of a rosary as a wedding gift is a lovely symbol of unity in a marriage!

I was running out the door to attend a wedding, and something stopped me in my tracks! I heard a whisper in my heart that said, "Go back inside and grab a rosary, pray on that rosary throughout the wedding ceremony, and gift it to the groom after the wedding."

I ran inside, grabbed a wooden rosary from Medjugorje, and headed to the wedding! I held it and prayed on it as we waited for the wedding to begin. 

Then, throughout the ceremony, I handed it to a few guests and asked them to pray love into the rosary and pray for the marriage we were witnessing. After I gave it to the groom's Godfather, he held it during the consecration and wept. 

When the ceremony was over, I went up to the altar, touched the rosary to their wedding altar, dipped it into the holy water, and even put a bit of the wax from their unity candle onto the crucifix.

At the reception, I asked the priest to bless it. 

Toward the end of the night, my husband and I went over to the bride and groom. I handed the groom the rosary, and I said, "This rosary has been prayed over throughout your sacrament of marriage; it is infused with God's promise that what God has united through matrimony, may no man divide. This rosary is also infused with all the love and prayer from your community here with you today. In a time of need, hold on to it, pray, and trust that God's divine love will carry you through."
