Take Courage, Dear Daughter
“Go forward bravely. Fear nothing.
Trust in God; all will be well.”

When God Calls You to Greatness
There are undoubtedly times in our lives when God is clearly urging us to take on a leadership role, to make a leap of faith in commitment, or step outside our comfort zone to help just one or hundreds of people in need. The Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts through prayer, through a conversation, events or even personal joy or sorrow- tugging at our hearts, calling us to action.
St. Joan of Arc was just a simple peasant girl from France. In an age where women were mostly confined to the matters of the home, Joan was called to politics and the battlefield. Three saints appeared to her to speak to her of God’s plan for her life. She could have brushed it off, hid behind false humility, and chosen to say no.
True Courage
However, despite what others thought of her when accusing her of witchcraft and lunacy, she stood steadfast and unwavering before God’s mission for her life. That is true courage. When she had earned the trust of the King of France, she did not stray from God’s mission by seeking her own glory and honor, but stayed true to the mission. That is true courage. When she was willing to sacrifice everything, even her own life to remain true to God’s message and will, she lived out true courage. That is why she is such a shining example of courage to us today, especially to us women. In a world where feminine genius is overlooked, seen as weakness, or interpreted through a political lens for personal advancement, St. Joan is a reminder that true feminism is living in truth and union with God, and the strength that comes from being a humble servant.
Patron Saint of Courage
Joan of Arc is the patron saint of courage. More than bravery, her courage was that of giving herself wholeheartedly to God’s will. Wear this necklace and be inspired, like Joan of Arc, to repeat throughout your day, “I was born for this!”
TOGETHER WE RISE
Fierce, strong and beautiful, St. Joan of Arc accomplished miracles by believing she could! She was open to the possibility of God working through her to accomplish more than she could imagine. St. Joan of Arc, inspire us to hear the messages of angels, to say yes and trust in supernatural ability to accomplish great things.
Prayer to St. Joan of Arc
St. Joan of Arc,
I implore you in the name of God
to intercede on my behalf and guide me.
I implore you in the name of God
to intercede on my behalf and guide me.
Help me to be strong when people are against me
and question my belief in God.
and question my belief in God.
Help me to stand by my faith and
my decisions concerning my faith.
my decisions concerning my faith.
I wish to do only God’s will, and I beg of you,
O patron saint, to help keep me on His true path,
and guide me in His will.
O patron saint, to help keep me on His true path,
and guide me in His will.
I need friends now, more than ever before,
and I choose God as my first and foremost best friend,
above all others.
and I choose God as my first and foremost best friend,
above all others.
But I also choose you as a close and special friend
to relate to and to talk to.
to relate to and to talk to.
Please counsel me by any means necessary
that is in the will of God to do.
AMEN
that is in the will of God to do.
AMEN
