Trust the Journey—Happy New Year!
As we step into the New Year, the month of January brings many feast days and opportunities to praise Our Lord!
We begin with the Feast of Mary, Mother of God, the Epiphany, and the Baptism of Our Lord.
However, when I think of the Epiphany and the events that led up to it…I think of the beautiful star that shined so brightly in the sky and captured everyone's attention. I can imagine what many felt as they pondered, "Where is this star leading to?"
I believe they may have felt it in their hearts and souls that something wonderful was happening. Perhaps they felt a magnetic pull and felt drawn to the little town in Bethlehem to meet the great Emmanuel…God is with Us… Jesus.
They did not know where they were going, yet trusted and followed the LIGHT. There is where they found Christ.
Every year at this time, we are invited to journey more deeply in the process of spiritual transformation.
A journey from the known to the unknown with only God's loving light to guide us—a journey to be transformed by Jesus.
A new beginning creates this pull in our hearts to fall deeper in love with Jesus. To live in His constant presence and complete union with Him.
Our soul desire is guided by the glimmer of spiritual possibility, the guiding star; the question is, how do we trust the journey?
How do we let go of the comforts that restrict us from our spiritual growth, the comforts of feeling confident, secure, and in control?
How do we trust the journey to walk beyond these knowns and into the unknown?
This trust requires humility, surrender, and courage.
This trust requires the supernatural grace of God and our unwavering, "YES!"
When it seems too scary, we are brought to our knees in prayer, and when we trust in letting go, something much bigger and greater is awaiting. This is our moment to go beyond the knowing and trust in the horizon of spiritual possibility.
This is our moment to go beyond knowing what we can see.
Let's TRUST in the unknown and allow ourselves to be guided to a deeper space of love, to something beyond the horizon, to something NEW, to be united with Christ now and walk this earth in union with Christ on earth as it is in Heaven.
Do not wait to get to Heaven to live in the eternal exchange of love—let's live fully in Christ NOW!
Happy and Very Blessed New Year.
